Through a lonely window,
looking out into the sleepy darkness.
A raven lights on an aged window sill,
to peer inside with small black eyes.
Both curious and malevolent,
in it's charcoal black frame.
The raven gazes at a dying fire,
on a dreary cast iron grate.
Then suddenly it takes flight,
to once again own the night sky.
Cold hands,
hot cup.
Steaming beverage,
bundled up.

Round the fire,
wild stories are told.
Having so much fun,
hardly notice the cold.
Early morning we rise,
to a bright smiling sun.
Coffee's on the stove,
enough for everyone.

Aroma's fill the kitchen,
fire warms our hearts.
Family and friends together,
when a glorious Fall day starts.

Glowing, grinning pumpkins,
red, gold and copper leaves.
Announce the start of Autumn

Beauty beyond belief!
Softly the night calls,
like a lover's sweet voice.
Gliding throught the darkness,
whispering in the blackness.
Lost in it's velvet embrace.
Caressing dreams,
surrounding senses.
ah! delicious oblivion!
